IG (Invest And Grow) Sacco is a licensed deposit-taking Sacco by SASRA under the Sacco Societies Act, 2012. The Sacco was formed in 1977 and registered as a Co-operative society, with a total membership of 115. Through visionary leadership, committed members and staff, the Sacco has undergone tremendous transformation and developed its rich history over the years.

In line with its growth and expansion strategy, the Sacco rebranded from Kakamega Teachers Sacco Ltd, KATECO to IG  (Invest And Grow) Sacco Ltd in 2015 adopting a strong, bold, stable and superior brand. IG comes with a new re-energised spirit of diligent service with a special touch to her members and society. IG Sacco strives to cultivate a stable culture of investing among its members thus economical growth.

Currently IG Sacco has 5 (five) branches spread across the former Western Province serving over 35,000 members across the country. The Sacco draws its membership from salaried individuals working under the Teachers Service Commission, government ministries and parastatals, county governments, private companies and members of County Assemblies. IG also attracts membership from business people, corporate and investment groups, churches among others. Going forward, the Sacco plans to open more branches and Satellite offices in other counties to improve service delivery.
